About Eiling
Fluent in English, Chinese, Cantonese and Hokkien, Eiling studied and trained in both Hong Kong and Singapore. She graduated with Distinction in her Masters of Social Sciences (MSSC) in Counselling and started her career at the Hospice and Bereavement Division of a District Elderly Community Centre in Hong Kong. There, she had the opportunity to work with clients ranging from 9 yrs old to 87 yrs old.
How she started
After returning to Singapore, family and friends who were having troubles with relationships and mental health started to confide in her regarding their help-seeking journeys, either for themselves or for their loved ones. Feeling strongly that high quality counselling should be more easily accessible for people, Eiling became motivated to start her own psychotherapy practice with the option to support clients in their own homes at no extra charge.
Outside of her work
Outside of her work, she is also a mother to three school-going children who understands firsthand, the demands of modern day society on parents who are supporting children and aged family members.
As a long-time Wingchun practitioner since her days in Hong Kong, she sometimes teaches Wingchun on a freelance basis and has a little dream of pioneering a uniquely mindful version of Wingchun for children to complement her practice in future.
