EI Counselling

Method

At Ei Counselling, Eiling recognises that no client is exactly the same as another. This results in intervention/treatment plans that are highly personalised for each client. Psychotherapy is more than having a person to listen and talk to you. As an integrative therapist, she may combine the use of various therapeutic methods such as Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy or Narrative Therapy, but could also include cognitive-behavioural exercises, mindfulness exercises and psychoeducation to achieve various treatment goals. However, regardless of the type of situation, Eiling strives to deliver the same level of care and commitment in working with each and every client.

Person-Centredness

To exercise a high degree of person-centredness, whereby a client is treated with unconditional positive regard, in a non-judgmental manner.

Be kind to everything that lives

Internally Motivated Change

To identify and build on an existing suite of strengths in the client so as to bring about internally motivated change.

Explaining the problems

Target The Root Cause

To conduct a comprehensive and rigorous assessment that reaches beyond the surface to target the root cause(s) of a problem/situation, so as to deliver effective and long-lasting change.
